If you have never fished with us before you might like to know a little more about what you can expect when you visit us.
All bookings are taken in advance and the fishing is limited to just two or three days per week which limits the pressure and maintains the quality of the fishing.
Your day will usually start at around 9am and continue until 5pm unless of course you have caught your limit before that time. During the summer months of June July and August we adjust the times to allow for fishing in the cool of evenings.
Free tea and coffee and the days newspaper will be available in the hut using our calor gas stove and you will be most welcome to bring your own packed lunch and or to make use of our barbeque for lunch. We have a table and chairs inside as well as a picnic table outside on our new decking overlooking the water. There is a brand new toilet at the hut and we are hoping to have mains water laid in time for the 2010 season.
Disabled Anglers: Chalybeate is in a fairly remote location and does not have metalled pathways or hard standing around the lake, nor do we have a proper disabled toilet. But wheel chair access from our car park to the hut is easy and in dry weather with a little assistance across a small slope there is then good access to the entire southern bank of the lake.
