With just three guys on the first of my new autumn courses at Chalybeate it was a great day and the fish were rising freely.

The novices caught several fish including a cracking 4.5 pounder to Terry Dwyer, well done him.

With the spring running clear and cold and the water temperature down to 55 degrees the September fishing looks like being superb.
